HORSE CAVE, Ky. – A Horse Cave man is behind bars following a traffic stop.
According to a uniform citation, the Greater Hardin County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Oct. 20 on a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Roberto Lopau of Horse Cave on South Dixie Street.
Authorities say Lopau stated to a detective that he “wanted to make a deal.”
While speaking with Lopau, authorities say he stated without being asked that he had drugs inside of the vehicle.
Authorities say during a vehicle search, they located roughly 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Lopau was arrested and transported to the Hart County Jail.
He faces charges of drug paraphernalia – buy/possess, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine) and improper equipment.
