President Donald Trump defended his record on the cost of living after a longtime Republican appealed to him for help.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News, released Wednesday, “Special Report” anchor Bret Baier asked Trump about a concern from a North Carolina resident who he described as a retired, three-time voter for the president.
“She is not happy about how her prices have not gone down that she sees,” Baier told Trump, before reading a statement from the voter.
He continued: “And she said this: ‘I want the Republicans to keep control of Congress in 2026, but something has to be done fast! I don’t see the best economy now — Wall Street numbers do not reflect my Main Street money. Please do something, President Trump.’"
