The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday, November 6, issued a yellow alert for Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, forecasting light to moderate rain in these regions.

In its latest bulletin issued at 8 am on Thursday, the Met Office predicted isolated to scattered rainfall activity likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, south Rayalaseema and south coastal Andhra Pradesh and the islands for the subsequent three days.

The IMD also mentioned about three persistent weather systems, including a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal, a Western Disturbance in middle tropospheric westerlies and a trough extending from the Bay of Bengal across Tamil Nadu to Kerala.
