David Lammy has been accused of either “having no clue” or misleading the public for the second time in two days over the accidental release of a migrant sex offender.

The Justice Secretary was accused of sowing confusion over the release of Brahim Kaddour-Cherif after he claimed that it had happened before the introduction of enhanced checks in response to the earlier mistaken release of migrant sex offender Hadush Kebatu .

This was despite the checks being in place on 27 October and Kaddour-Cherif being released on 29 October. New Feature
