A Chambersburg man already facing several drug-related cases in Franklin County has now been charged with possessing child sexual abuse material, according to the Waynesboro Police Department and court records.

Nayquan Alex Brown, 43, of Chambersburg, formerly of Fairplay, Maryland, was charged on Oct. 3, after an incident was reported on East Main Street in Waynesboro on Sept. 22.

According to the Waynesboro Police Department and Franklin County Court records, Brown was charged with one count of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of a communication facility in connection with the incident. The charges were formally filed in the Court of Common Pleas of Franklin County on Oct. 15.

He remains in custody at Franklin County Jail, with bail set at $15,000. His formal arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 12, before Judge Mary Beth Shank.

Court documents show that Brown is also awaiting trial in three other active Franklin County cases, all handled by Judge Shank:

  • Manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility from a January 2025 incident.
  • Similar drug and communication-related charges filed in August 2025.
  • Another drug-related case from September 2025 with $100,000 bail.

Each of those cases remains active and has future court appearances scheduled, including a Call of the Trial List set for Dec. 19, according to county court calendars.
