A Connecticut community is mourning the loss of a popular high school student who died unexpectedly.
Officials said Noah Senh, a 10th-grader at Farmington High School, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 5. The cause of death was not immediately released.
“Our hearts are with the Senh family, especially his loving parents, Michael and Tiffany, at this time of unimaginable loss,” Interim Superintendent Kathy Greider and Principal Russ Crist said in a joint statement. “He was the center of their world and an incredible source of love and pride for the Senh family.”
Senh grew up in the Farmington Public Schools community. He attended Union Elementary, West Woods Upper Elementary, and Irving A. Robbins Middle School before entering high school, authorities said.
“The students, faculty, staff, and administrators of the Farmington schools were truly privileged and honored to have known and worked with Noah, watching him grow into a wonderful young man who was so deeply loved by all,” officials said. “His kind and caring approach to all aspects of his education as well as friendships brought each one of us joy beyond measure.”
Senh was involved in Unified Sports, Nestpresso, and “many activities that connected him with others both in and outside of school.”
“He was an individual who contributed to making each school he attended a place of care, inclusivity, and joy,” they said. “He will be remembered for how sweet, caring, and kind he was to everyone he came across in the FPS community.”
Counseling and mental health support services are being offered at the high school to help students and staff cope with the loss.
