Shillong, Nov 6: A two-day beauty, hairstyling and makeup workshop was conducted for inmates of the Shillong District Jail yesterday.

Conducted by the Accentuate Makeup and Hair Academy, the initiative was organised by the office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner and the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS).

The programme was designed to help inmates acquire valuable vocational skills that could empower them to explore new career opportunities—both during their time in the facility and after their release.
