Two pop-up food drives Thursday helped to feed Delawareans - for some, at a very uncertain time.

A line of people stretched around the corner at the Walnut Street YMCA for one food distribution event. It was organized by elected officials, the Smart Food Foundation and r4 Technologies, which works to reduce the amount of food that goes wasted.

"When communities face challenges, we need leaders that don't just talk about solutions. We need leaders who step forward and take action," YMCA of Delaware President and CEO Jarrett Royster said.
