KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An Excelsior Springs company announced it will be laying off close to 100 employees in January.
Lawn and Garden, LLC will cut 93 jobs at its Excelsior Springs facility, beginning Jan. 30, 2026.
The company, which makes lawn and gardening products, did not cite a specific reason for the mass layoff.
The 85 union workers being laid off will have bumping rights, which allows more senior employees whose jobs have been eliminated to displace a less senior employee from their position instead.
