PHOENIX (KVOA) - Picacho Peak State Park is once again teaming up with Pinal County Animal Care and Control (PCACC) to offer a unique opportunity for community members.
From November through April, the park will host monthly walks where visitors can enjoy the outdoors while walking shelter dogs from PCACC.
This initiative, known as the Shelter Dog Walking Program, is in its second year and aims to provide dogs with a break from the shelter environment and offer them exercise in a scenic setting. Kristin Brown, manager at Picacho Peak State Park, expressed enthusiasm for the program’s return.
