Andrew Simon, president and chief executive officer of Fremont Street Experience, will step down from his role effective Nov. 21 to pursue a new opportunity, officials said today in a new release.

He departs after more than five years leading the iconic six-block entertainment district in downtown Las Vegas.

Simon played a pivotal role in the transformation of Fremont Street Experience, steering the downtown Las Vegas destination through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, opening a new police substation and strengthening its reputation as a must-visit attraction for tourists.
