DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — A man and woman from Davidson County are facing charges for animal cruelty after a social media video circulated online, according to deputies.
The Davidson County Sheriff's Office says the video, taken at North Davidson Animal Hospital, showed three puppies being abandoned at the facility.
Deputies then identified Justin Knotts and Skyla Curry as the videoed suspects. The puppies were being treated at the animal hospital when the video was taken. Deputies say the staff hope they recover.
Both Knotts and Curry were arrested on Nov. 4 and charged with three counts of misdemeanor animal abandonment and one count of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
Deputies will continue to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Davidson County Sheriff
