FAIRFIELD, Ohio (WXIX) -A Fairfield woman who has decorated her home for Halloween for 15 years received an anonymous threatening letter just three days after Halloween, calling her display “redneck white trash” and telling her to move to a trailer park.

Marianne Peters of Bibury Street said she was upset by the letter and considered it a threat. The letter stated that she should remove her Halloween decorations and said the writer was contacting the city about her display.

“I was upset. I took it as a threat myself, and a lot of other people did,” Peters said in an exclusive interview.

Peters has decorated her home for 15 years, with the display growing each year as the community continues to visit and support her.
