Two men were caught stealing several highway exit signs from Interstate 91 northbound just before Exit 37, authorities said.
Connecticut State Police quickly responded and found the pair with multiple signs loaded into the back of a pickup truck around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, police said.
Jonathan Riopelle, 46, of Vernon, was arrested and charged with third-degree larceny, reckless use of a highway by a pedestrian, and improper parking on a highway, according to police. He was held on a $500 bond.
Andrew Lampkin, 42, also of Vernon, faces the same charges and was held on a $500 bond, police said.
All stolen signs were recovered, according to authorities.
