Migration is driving Weld County’s population growth, offsetting the start of a downward trend in birth rates.
Officials from across the county discussed this and other factors for a healthy population distribution at the annual Town and County meeting late last week.
Colorado State Demographer Kate Watkins presented the most current demographics for the state and county to numerous government officials, including Greeley Mayor John Gates and other mayors in the county, as well as U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans, who continued to promote his plans to reduce energy regulations in the district.
