LEWISTON, Maine (WABI) -The current edition of the Farmers’ Almanac will be the last edition after more than 200 years of the publication.

The publishers say it was a difficult decision knowing many Mainers had grown up listening to their parents of grandparents quote the Almanac.

They did not give a reason for halting publication.

Copies of the last Farmers’ Almanac are currently available in local stores.
