ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Two nights after Albuquerque Community Safety launched their third annual Emergency Overnight Shelter Transportation Service, a life has already been saved. On Sunday, an ACS staff member discovered a woman in an active overdose. The team called 911 and tried to talk to the woman, but she was unresponsive.

ACS administered Narcan, and her condition immediately improved. The overnight service was started three years ago, and ACS said it's meant to keep residents safe during Albuquerque's coldest months.
