Attorney General James Uthmeier says he is suing Planned Parenthood , accusing the organization of misrepresenting safety elements of drugs used to induce chemical abortions.

“It is vile that Planned Parenthood cares more about lining their pockets than providing women with factual information about the health risks of chemical abortion drugs,” Uthmeier said in a news release. “When it comes to health and safety in Florida, we won’t tolerate blatant lies using fabricated medical ‘facts’ that have no scientific basis.”

The legal brief was filed in the 1st Judicial Circuit of Florida in Santa Rosa County and lists both Planned Parenthood Federation of America Inc. and Planned Parenthood of Florida Inc. as defendants in the case.
