The family of a man killed in a collision on the M6 have paid tribute to him, calling him the 'heart and soul' of their lives.

The M6 was closed for around 10 hours after the crash on Sunday (October 26), which sadly led to the death of Noel Martin Sutton.

Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway between Junction 28 (Leyland) and Junction 27 (Standish) at around 9.30pm, after a collision involving two vehicles close to Charnock Richard Services, LancsLive reported.

Noel, from Preston, was named as the man killed in the crash after an inquest was opened at Preston Coroners' Court today (November 6).
