The release date for highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI has been delayed again. The console game was set to be released in May next year.

Grand Theft Auto (GTA), created by Rockstar Games, a subsidiary of Take Two Interactive, has been the most profitable videogame franchise in the world with GTA 5, having generated more than £6 billion in revenue since 2013.

Rockstar Games announced on Thursday (November 6) that the release date had now been pushed back to November next year - meaning gamers will now have to wait another year.

It is the second major delay in the game's release, having first been billed for release towards the end of 2025.
