JACKSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) - The Western Carolina University Police Department reported a shooting occurred overnight near the campus.

The incident took place on Little Savannah Road near WCU's west campus grounds. The WCU Police Department said the Jackson County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
