After losing Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford and Luke Kornet over the summer, Neemias Queta has found himself operating as the Boston Celtics’ starting big man. The 7-foot rim-runner has spent the past two seasons near the bottom of Joe Mazzulla’s depth chart.
To his credit, Queta is grasping the opportunity with both hands. He’s already displaying incremental improvements, specifically in guarding without fouling and boxing out after shots go up. On offense, Queta is slowly developing into a reliable screener and roll-man threat.
