The Dallas Mavericks came off a tough loss against the New Orleans Pelicans, entering a stretch of frustration as results continued to fall short of expectations. With a 2-6 record and an NBA three-game losing streak, Dallas looked far from the title contender it was projected to be during the offseason — and rookie Cooper Flagg was visibly concerned.
Following Wednesday night’s game, Mavericks rookie Flagg appeared disheartened with the result. Sharing his thoughts on the team’s current struggles, the 18-year-old offered an honest reflection during the postgame press conference.
“For me, it’s the most I’ve lost since… you know, I think ever,” Flagg said. “We have to adapt to playing a lot more games, and I definitely have to get used to that. But I wouldn’t say anyone’s happy.”
