25-year-old Brady Patrick Dean pleaded guilty Thursday to six counts of sexual battery of a child while in a position of trust or authority, according to First Circuit District Attorney Jason D. Herring.
Prosecutors said the crimes involved three victims who were older than 16 but younger than 18. At the time, Dean was a U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant serving as a recruiter at local high schools.
Circuit Judge John R. White sentenced Dean to 60 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with 40 years suspended and 20 years to serve. Because of the nature of the offenses, Dean is not eligible for parole or early release and must serve the 20-year term day for day.
After release, Dean must complete five years of post-release supervision, register as a sex offende
