Two suspects connected to the investigation into the fatal shooting of a Hinds County Sheriff’s sergeant appeared before a municipal court judge Thursday.
Ladarien Jones was denied bond and placed into the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, officials said.

Mercedes Guise received a combined $500,000 bond on charges of hindering prosecution and accessory after the fact.
