Former NFL star Antonio Brown has been extradited from Dubai and will be transferred to Miami, where he’s set to face trial on an attempted murder charge stemming from a shooting outside a boxing event earlier this year.
The All-Pro wide receiver, who spent most of his 12-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is accused of firing two shots at a man following an altercation at an amateur boxing event in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood on May 16.
According to an arrest warrant issued in June, Brown appeared to grab “a black firearm from the right hip area” of a security official and fired at a man, later identified as Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu.
Brown had not returned to Florida since then.
On Thursday, authorities confirmed to NBC Miami that the 37-year-old was being extrad
