Cotton Module Trailer Takes Down Power Lines and Poles
Thursday afternoon, a cotton module trailer being towed along Cherokee County Road 36 apparently snagged power lines pulling them down and breaking several utility poles.
The highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time while Cherokee Electric Co-op crews sets new poles and puts the lines back up.
There are approximately 42 customers without electric service due to this incident.
This repair project could take most of the night, according to reports.
