After nearly five months on the run, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is now in the custody of U.S. authorities.
In June, a judge in Miami-Dade issued a warrant for Antonio Brown’s arrest for attempted murder. The incident happened back on May 16, when Brown is accused of grabbing a security officer’s gun and shooting it at another man with whom he got into a fight.
Per David K. Li and Matt Lavietes of NBC News, Miami authorities have confirmed that Brown is now in custody. They wouldn’t provide exact details, such as when he was brought in, but a spokesperson gave the outlet the following statement:
“Miami Police confirm that U.S. Marshals have apprehended Antonio Brown and that he has been extradited to the U.S. No date has been set for his transfer to Miami-Dade County.”
