Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown never thought he would see this day.

He was extradited from Dubai to the United States on Thursday to face trial on an attempted murder charge related to a shooting earlier this year.

In June, he faced a warrant for his arrest on an attempted murder charge following an incident at a celebrity boxing match in Miami, where he initially claimed he “was jumped by multiple individuals who tried to steal my jewelry and cause physical harm to me.”

It was alleged that Antonio Brown stole a firearm from a security guard, chased one of the men in question down, and fired the gun two times in their direction.

In the days following the incident, he left the country and refused to return to the United States.
