GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Green Bay Area Public School District has confirmed that Green Bay East football coach Niko Sila formally declined a resignation offer.
The statement below is from the Green Bay Area Public School District:
"The Green Bay Area Public School District can confirm that Mr. Niko Sila communicated in writing to the District that he was rejecting the resignation offer that was presented. The District has no further information to share at this time."
The confirmation comes days after Sila's wife and a representative spoke out in support of him during a press conference at Joannes Park, where they said he wouldn't be taking the offer.
That offer, which is not publicly known, reportedly contained a 'substantial severance package,' Stephanie Ortiz said at Tuesday's
