TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was booked into a New Jersey jail on Thursday, months after he was accused of opening fire into a crowd at an amateur boxing event in Miami.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Marshals Service told WTVJ-TV that Brown arrived in Newark, New Jersey, from Dubai on Thursday.
Records indicate Brown, 37, was booked into the Essex County Jail, where he remains in custody, as of Thursday afternoon. Brown will be moved to Florida, but a Miami police spokesperson told NBC News that no date has been set for Brown's transfer to Miami-Dade County.
