Both sides are claiming victory from Tuesday's election, as you knew they would. Democrats say their victories in New York City, New Jersey and Virginia are referendums on President Trump, and they're probably right. Republicans have got their PR machines in high gear, and are spreading the word that they intend to tie Zohran Mamdani's victory in New York's mayor's race to any Democrat campaign in 2026 and beyond. And that's probably good politics.
