Fremont police said they are investigating a dog attack that ended with the life of a small dog at a park in October.
Police said a medium-sized dog without a leash attacked a small dog that was walking on a leash with its owner at Central Park at around 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 23. The small dog was taken to a veterinarian and later succumbed to its injuries, authorities report.
Officials said the medium-sized dog was with its owner at the time of the attack.
Animal Services is reportedly working with the owner of the dog that passed away, but authorities said they have not been able to identify the second dog involved or its owner.
Police said the dog that attacked the smaller dog is described as a Cane Corso or a Pit Bull.
