NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Tennessee nonprofit has raised the alarm over a new plan involving the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
ICE is looking to build a "national call center" in Nashville. ABC News discovered new details this week, which posted to a federal contracting site, showing ICE has set its sights on Nashville for the facility.
Back in May, a so-called "public safety operation" between Tennessee Highway Patrol and ICE, sparked backlash from city leaders and the Tennessee Immigration Rights Refugee Coalition.

"Sort of combining various government agencies to go after immigrant families and ultimately harm all of us," Advocacy Director at TIRRC, Judith Clerjeune, recalled.
