LINN COUNTY, Ore. - An Oregon State Police K-9 team traffic stop on Interstate 5 last Thursday led to the seizure of fentanyl, a firearm, and cash.
OSP officials said the stop occurred on Oct. 30 near milepost 216. K-9 Millie detected possible drugs, prompting a search that uncovered two kilograms of fentanyl, a handgun, and a large sum of U.S. currency, authorities said. State police officials said that 24-year-old Oscar Joset Bonilla Sandoval of San Francisco and passengers Jorge Adalberto Escoto Andrade, 34, and Jonathan David Matamoros Carcamo, 22, were arrested. They face drug-related charges, and the case is now with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
The case is under continued investigation, OSP officials said.
