LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A deadly plane crash in Louisville came just yards from hitting Stooges Bar and Grill.

The owner, Debbie Self, said on Thursday that it is going to be a while before they're ready to welcome customers back.

After visiting the restaurant for the first time on Thursday, Self said, the area where it's sat for more than 40 years looks unrecognizable.

"It's like a war zone," described Self.

While she can't wait to welcome back her loyal customers, she said, her biggest concern is her 43 employees.

"They're going to get paid. Their checks will keep coming. But as a server, that won't be enough," said Self.

Self said the community has already rallied around the restaurant, raising more than $2,500.
