BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) — A 79-year-old Louisiana man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery Thursday afternoon in Bellmead, according to police.

Charles Leger was taken into custody in Limestone County after robbing the PNC Bank at 4010 Bellmead Drive, the Bellmead Police Department said.

Officers responded to the bank just before 3 p.m. after receiving reports of a robbery, police said.

No weapon was used during the incident and no employees were hurt, according to police. Authorities said there is no immediate threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
