CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Charlottesville Police Department held their first Community Stats meeting for the Central District at the Carver Recreation Center on Thursday.

Hoping to spark more conversation and transparency, CPD used the meeting to share crime statistics and safety efforts. Community members also asked questions about local safety.
