Woman found dead at north Phoenix apartment; no arrests made

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police are asking for the public’s help after finding a woman dead inside an apartment in north Phoenix on Wednesday.

At around 12:15 p.m., officers responded to an apartment in the area of 43rd Avenue and Park Place regarding a dead body. Officers arrived and found 33-year-old Elizabeth Powell dead inside after being shot.

Homicide detectives are still working to determine what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been made.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Phoenix PD or Silent Witness.
