Costco is recalling bottles of its Kirkland Signature Prosecco, citing a risk that unopened bottles could shatter, even if untouched, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission .

The recalled product was sold between April 25 and August 25 of this year. Costco advised customers to carefully wrap any unopened bottles in paper towels, place them in a plastic bag, and dispose of them to prevent potential injury from broken glass.

The recall affects stores in 12 states across the Midwest and South, including Illinois, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

So far, no injuries have been reported. Customers can bring the recall notice to a Costco store for a full refund.
