A pair of alleged assailants were arrested last month after they were accused of beating a man in Bridgeton and stealing his backpack, police announced Thursday.
The incident happened on Oct. 18 in the downtown area of South Laurel Street when the man was walking and was approached by two men, according to a statement from the Bridgeton Police Department.
The duo began to assault the man and continued to do so after he fell to the ground, police said. One of them stole his backpack which contained his personal belongings and they fled the area.
When police arrived, they aided the man, who suffered injuries to his face, and he was taken to Inspira Medical Center Vineland for treatment, police said.
Detectives were able to identify two suspects; Arabe Natal, 39, of Bridgeton, and Tyrell
