The president of Hudson City Council announced he was resigning, effective immediately, on Nov. 5, the day after the general election.

Ward 2 Councilman Chris Foster, who first was sworn into Council in December 2019 and has served as president since December 2021, could not be reached for comment.

In an email to city officials the morning after the election, he stated that he wished Hudson "the best of luck."

"It has been my honor to serve the city of Hudson these past 6 years," Foster wrote. "I am however resigning my position effective immediately."
