ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Delta Air Lines says they are preparing now ahead of Friday’s FAA airspace reduction .
In a statement to Atlanta News First, a spokesperson said they are working to minimize customer impact and added that they expect to “operate the vast majority” of flights as scheduled, including long-haul international flights.
Customers are able to cancel or change flights without penalty, regardless of the fare type, during the impacted time period, they said.
“We will work to give customers as much notice as possible about any changes to their flights and apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause,” they said.
The airline said it would cancel 170 flights for Friday, Nov. 7.
