Fox Sports Chris Myers says Trevor Lawrence is winning with toughness

On paper, the contrast is glaring, a clear mismatch. In one corner is Trevor Lawrence with a QB frame and look straight out of central casting. The former number one pick, National Champion, looking ever much the part at 6’6.

Then there’s Davis Mills, the presumptive starter with C.J. Stroud navigating concussion protocol. Mills has started 26 games in the NFL but is still largely an enigma. I’ve often thought if Mills was in line next to me at Whole Foods, would I or anyone else even notice. An NFL executive told me at the combine years ago that Mills would be “a serviceable back up” and thus far he’s been just that. Sunday at NRG, the Texans will need him to be much more.
