Every journey has a story to tell. This one has heart, grit, and a whole lot of paws. Taking to Instagram Stories, Amanda Balionis shared a message with her followers. The CBS Sports golf reporter couldn’t hide her emotions as she announced her nonprofit’s upcoming fifth anniversary next month.

“Next month, it will be FIVE years since we founded @puppiesandgolf hoping to find a community who loved our mission and pillars as much as we do,” she wrote. But what came next revealed just how far that hope had traveled.

“To date: we have given over $600,000 in grants across all three pillars. We found more than our community. We have found a family who believes that we can make a difference in the lives of both animals and people in need by bringing them all together.”
