GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s Southeast Side that is believed to have happened sometime Thursday evening.

A passerby located the adult male victim with a fatal gunshot wound at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, police said in a news release.

The victim was located on Hollister Avenue SE, north of Wealthy Street SE. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The department’s major case team is investigating the shooting at this time.
