SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has ordered flags on state facilities to be lowered to half-staff to recognize the death of former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.
Cheney died on Nov. 3 at the age of 84. The Associated Press reported Cheney died from complications of pneumonia as well as cardiac and vascular disease.
Cox’s order impacts all state facilities, and remains in effect until the day the Vice President’s body is laid to rest.
Cox has invited private citizens, businesses, and other organizations to also lower their state and U.S. flags in recognition of Cheney.
