SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — In a statement released today, UPS officials provided additional information about the pilots who were killed in the Louisville flight crash.
On Tuesday, November 6, 2025, Flight 2976 was taking off from the Louisville, Kentucky airport, when it crashed and exploded. Officials confirmed that this crash killed at least twelve individuals, several of whom were not on the plane, and injured 11 others.
Nando Cesarone, UPS Executive Vice President, released a statement that provided additional information on the pilots who were aboard the flight. According to the statement, the victims on the plane were Captain Richard Wartenberg, First Officer Lee Truitt, and International Relief Officer Captain Dana Diamond.
