BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) - The search for the suspects responsible for last weekend's mass shooting at an Airbnb party in Summit County is now a murder investigation.

One of the victims of the shooting, 18-year-old Elijah Wells of Akron, died early this morning at a hospital in Akron.

It was early Sunday morning that Bath Township police responded to the mass shooting at a large home on Top-O-Hill Drive, that had been rented out through Airbnb for a birthday party.

Investigators said a total of nine young people were either hit by the gunfire or were injured in the chaos that followed.

Police said Wells was shot eight times.
