LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Lubbock VA Clinic opened in 2021, and it served over 9,000 veterans with their well-being. Laura Maul with the clinic explained what the clinic offered to veterans in the area.
"We've got primary care, we have specialties like dental, dermatology, pathology, urology. We have an urgent care clinic," Maul said. "We also offer behavioral health services, which is very important for our veterans, and throughout the year we plan many events working with our behavioral rural health partners."
Maul expanded on some of the other services they provided.
"We do have a therapist. We have counseling, we have support groups, we also have counseling groups, and then we have outreach services," Maul said.
